Dexter Dymoke

The Comet, 2008. Aluminium, wood and leather (650 x 380 x 25 mm)

Dexter Dymoke's practice embodies an emotional engagement with space and materials and an ongoing exploration of the tensions and resonances set up by their juxtaposition. This coincides with a parallel examination of the aesthetics of the materials themselves, their metaphorical potentiality and a desire to find new ways to test and develop intuitive recognition. Dymoke aims to initiate dialogues that lead to unfamiliar but logical conclusions, loosely based around an imagined archaeology of the future.
